Note that there is a discrepancy between the dates of birth as recorded on the gravestone and the dates of birth as inferred from the 1851 census. James Bonney would appear to have been born in 1795 according to the census.

Thro dire asmatical complaint some years I past
But here am quietly interrd at last
And till the awful trump must here remain
Then hope to rise thro Christ and with him reign

Also the body of Mary Bonney wife of the above William Bonney who departed this Life
December 9 1827 Aged 77 years"

William Bonney's Will of 1811 lists his four children and one grandson and mentions wife Mary. William Bonney is appointed executor in the 1811 will but a subsequent codicil revokes this and appoints son James as executor, giving James's portion to William.
